My word study groups and guided reading groups are differentiated according to student ability, strengths, and weaknesses.
I wrote lessons plans to have my assistant do an extra reading group with my students who are significantly above grade level in reading.
For my students who are above grade level I have arranged for them to receive extra enrichment by either using a self paced math program or working with a higher reading group with the guidance of a gifted teacher. I also differentiate homework so students who are higher ability are able to do more challenging and appropriate work.
